I Went To The WWE Royal Rumble - And Hung Out With Ben Roethlisberger

I attended the 2014 WWE Royal Rumble last night at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA.  When the Rumble comes to your town, you don't miss it.  And you get great seats.  I was fortunate enough to get second row.  Sitting a few seats away from me was Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger!  When I noticed the cameras were gonna roll to him, I jumped in the shot.  The gif above is great.  It was on WWE PPV and was all over the internet.  I had a great seat to be seen pretty often during the show.  I haven't seen the broadcast yet, but I look forward to it.

The show was amazing.  I've been to a Pay Per View before, and a few RAWs, but never this close.  I got some great pictures.

Me and Chad brought the gold.  If you have Championship Title Belts, they have to go to the event with you.

Even though Hulk Hogan wasn't a part of the show, I had to wear the Red and Yellow.  There were a lot of old school fans like me wearing Hogan gear as well as Macho Man Randy Savage, Bret Hitman Hart, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and even the Godfather shirts.

Our seats were great.

We even got to take home the chairs.

Ben was kind enough to take a picture with me.  He seemed like he had a really fun time at the event.

The place was packed.

I love seeing the old school guys like the New Age Outlaws and Goldust.

I just don't get the devotion the fans have to Daniel Bryan.  Some of the people in the crowd were upset he wasn't a part of every match.

Brock Lesnar destroyed the Big Show with several chairs.  I was right along the rail for this match.  I'm sure I was on camera a lot.

I couldn't get a great picture of fellow Dukes of Hazzard fan and close friend of Ben Jones, Jerry the King Lawler.

But here is a picture of me with him at Hazzard Homecoming.

Does it look like Randy Orton is photobombing himself in this picture?

The Royal Rumble match itself was so cool to watch.  Kane hasn't wrestled on TV in a while, but was a part of the match.  He is ripped!

Kevin Nash was a surprise entrant.  I am a huge nWo fan, so hearing the nWo music really got me going.

I really love when my phone make gifs automatically.

Ryback is screaming "I'm nuts."

Ah, the Spanish announce table.  Has it ever been on TV and not had someone thrown through it?  Kane is really ripped.

The last two wrestlers in the Rumble were Batista and Roman Reigns.  They put on a great show.

I went in to it thinking Batista would win.  He did.  It was a heck of a match.  I had so much fun at the event.

What do you think Chad, should we go to Wrestlemania?

In that GIF at the top, does it look like I scared Ben a little?

Thirty-five years ago today my life changed...and I wasn't even born yet.  One Armed Bandits, the pilot episode of The Dukes of Hazzard premiered at nine o'clock on CBS on January 26, 1979.  The world is a much better place with Dukes of Hazzard in it.  Let's all celebrate together by watching some of the best episodes on CMT today starting at 2 pm.  Yee Haw!!!

Figures Toy Company's Dukes figures are almost here!

The highly anticipated Dukes of Hazzard action figures from Figures Toy Company are almost here.  They sent word to me that the 12 inch figures will be shipping in about two weeks and the 8 inch figures in about four weeks.  They also sent me a whole heck of a lot of great looking pictures to share with you, the loyal Dukes Collector readers.  These things are going to be a lot of fun.  These pictures really show the detail in the figures.  My favorite part is the attention to detail in the belt buckles of Bo and Luke.  They really nailed those.  I'll hold my commentary on each figure until I actually have them in hand.  This isn't my review, this is just a sneak peak.  Here is a mess load of pictures.

What are your thoughts?  Have you preordered yet?  You can do that here.  Go ahead, leave a comment, why not?
